Some weddings are grand. Others are deeply personal, full of quiet moments and meaningful details. Chantel and Connor’s wedding at The Iron Wheel was the latter — a day that felt like a page out of a love story, set against the sweeping Montana landscape. If you’re searching for Montana wedding ideas that combine intimacy, beauty, and unique personal touches, their day is the perfect inspiration.

They arrived at our vacation rental the day of their wedding, using the space to relax and get ready. The cozy home became a hub of happy anticipation. Laughter in the kitchen, soft music playing, and final touches before they stepped into the rest of their forever.

With just 30 guests, it was an intimate Montana wedding in the truest sense. Their ceremony took place in our lower field, with the wide Montana sky as their backdrop. As the breeze moved through the grass, Chantel and Connor exchanged vows surrounded by those who mattered most.

Montana Wedding Ideas for a Personal Celebration
After their heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds slipped away for a private toast and dinner for two in the field. Just the two of them at a beautifully styled boho table, soaking in the moment as husband and wife for the first time. Later, their guests joined them at the same table, creating a joyful, communal meal under the open sky. This setup is perfect for couples looking for Montana wedding ideas that blend romance and simplicity.

As the sun began to set, the celebration moved up to our pavilion, where The Brambling Board had prepared the most stunning charcuterie board we’ve ever seen. In place of cake, Chantel and Connor invited guests to share a special “cheese bite”. It was so cute. It was a fun, delicious twist that fit their laid-back yet elegant style.

The evening was filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and those small, fleeting moments that make weddings unforgettable. As the night drew to a close, friends and family lined up with sparklers in hand, lighting the path for the couple’s sparkler send-off. It was a perfect, glowing finale to a day they’ll never forget.

If you’re planning your own celebration and looking for Montana wedding ideas, take a note from Chantel and Connor. Choose a place that feels like home, focus on the people you love most, and make room for moments that matter.

Congratulations, Chantel & Connor. Your wedding was a beautiful reminder that love is best celebrated surrounded by the people you love most.
